The Wellness Challenge: Day 1

Nick and I have decided to participate in a wellness challenge that starts today and goes on for 12 weeks. I was a little hesitant at first, but I figured what do I have to lose? I have been wanting to get back in shape for a while now and I have just had nothing to motivate me. I want to make a good habit out of exercise and eating right before we try for baby #2. I found out about this challenge through a friend and after some thought, I decided to do it. I even got Nick to join in with me. There are certain things you have to do/not do every day and you get points for them. All participants put in $10 and the winner at the end takes it all. I figure Its a win/win situation. I win money and am healthier or I am just healthier! One of the things we have to do everyday is to make a new good habit. I chose mine to journal or blog daily, so you will be seeing more going on on our blog! I look forward to seeing how we do! Here's to a better, healthier Vadney family :)


This is what we have to do on a daily basis:
7 hours of sleep (not necessarily consecutive – nap counts too!)
48 oz water
30 minutes of excersice (not necessarily consecutive)
2 servings of veggies
2 servings of fruits
No soda or other unhealthy drinks (high sugar juices)
No bad fast food or unhealthy snacks
No sweets (desserts, pastries or sugary snacks)
No eating after 8:00pm
15 minutes of scripture reading (or spiritual text/uplifting messages if you don’t do scriptures)
Stop a bad habit
Start a new habit
